Spring Reno Wedding with a Star Wars Twist

A month ago our team got to help throw a beautiful Spring Reno wedding on Star Wars Day! May the 4th, 2024 was Agnes & Chris’ chosen wedding day. While they weren’t the biggest of Star Wars fans, we helped incorporate a little bit of fun into their very classy upscale event!

Planning for months, we were counting on beautiful Spring weather. Reno, as most everyone knows can be very unpredictable with weather, but we were plugging along with planning as if Spring would hold out.

The week of the wedding came, and mother nature had other plans.

Saturday, May 4th in Reno. Meteorologists projecting to have rain and snow…after 3 weeks of beautiful Spring weather. Thankfully, most of the wedding and reception was in doors so it wasn’t a huge problem to just move cocktail hour inside if the weather got to be too bad.

May the 4th be with you today on your Wedding Day….

Saturday morning came, and the sky was gray. The clouds were rolling in, but there hadn’t been any weather…yet.

Agnes, and her girls were getting glammed up at her parent’s as per tradition by the incredible team from Copper Salon and then rode in style in a classic white Rolls Royce to the church with her parents.

Chris spent the morning with his guys getting ready at his place.

It’s time to bring this Spring Reno Wedding with a Star Wars Twist to life!

Our team got busy getting things ready at The Club at Arrowcreek, the reception venue, and at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

St. Rose of Lima was bathed in beautiful floral arrangements provided by Box of Love at the altar and down the aisle. Acrylic signage with gold lettering, and navy accents on custom programs crated by Elite Elegance were displayed.

The Club at Arrowcreek provided stunning chargers and navy linens to compliment the high-low floral centerpieces with blush and white flowers from Box of Love.

All accents, were custom signs in gold frames to add even more richness and class.

The rain and the wind held out long enough for Agnes to get to the church. She was absolutely stunning. It is safe to say that Chris was in awe of his bride as she walked down the aisle accompanied by her loving parents.

Saying I do…

The ceremony commenced and was full of Catholic tradition, and meaningful readings spoken by the couple’s closest friends and family. After communion, vows were said and the couple were pronounced married. It was a beautiful moment.

After ceremony was pictures and then everyone convened at The Club at Arrowcreek, where thanks to the weather, we decided for an indoor cocktail hour.

Party time!

The couple’s first dance was effortless and beautiful to More, in the vain of Frank Sinatra.

Following dinner, the reception was chock full of special moments, especially those showcasing Agnes’ Lebanese culture. From, a special poem written by her father, to traditional Lebanese dancing and cutting their cake with a traditional ceremonial sword!

One of the highlights of this reception was that the couple had a live band, straight from Las Vegas! Justin & the Swing Beats! They were a 8 piece orchestra with 3 incredible singers. The kept the crowd going with live renditions of many of yesterday’s favorites done live!

As mentioned earlier in the blog, the couple paid homage to their wedding date by having a few little details that were Star Wars Themed, including a Star Wars send off complete with light sabers and the Orchestra playing the title track to the Star Wars franchise.

The Star Wars twist!

Finally the beautiful couple ended their night in a getaway golfcart, complete with cans as per Agnes’ request. The Club at Arrowcreek was more than accommodating to take the newlyweds home.

It was such a great blessing to work with these two and their families. Elite Elegance wishes them infinite more years of the force always being with them!
