A coordinator ensures your event runs smoothly, putting all the details and logistics you worked so hard on into place. We will help devise a timeline to make sure all vendors are on the same page ensuring that what you envisioned and created is executed and there are no hiccups on the day.

I have a catering manager or a venue coordinator, why do I need to hire you too?

The answer here is simple….a catering manager controls the catering…the food, and maybe even the room setup. The venue coordinator is there for the venue….that is their responsibility. We are here for YOU.

We are your advocate on the wedding day. We ensure everything that was discussed, either as your dedicated planner or your trusted coordinator, prior to the event comes to fruition. You can’t be there on the day of to make sure your dream comes to life… so, we are.

How do you differ from other planners or coordinators in your industry

I think this can be summed up in one word….PASSION. I am so passionate about wedding and event planning that it is my utmost goal to make sure your event is as perfect as it can be. When I describe to people why I do what I do I say…. I love love.

Whether that is wedding day love, love for a family member celebrating a milestone in their life, celebrating a new life coming into this world, or even celebrating the love of a family member lost; my passion for love is the driving force behind what I do. I treat your event like I would for anyone in my family or close friend group.

It is as important to me as it is to you, and that is why often, many of my past couples, have become very very close friends of mine. I work extremely hard for you and your smile on the day of the event is everything to me. Your happiness is everything to me.

What is your definition of the term "day-of services" and how does that relate to me?

Any reputable wedding coordinator will tell you….day-of services is a myth. No coordinator can get in there the day of your wedding and throw a successful event as there are too many variables that couldn’t be known if you only come on the day of the event.

Our “day-of” is actually our Organza package, which is what we call event management. This starts 10 weeks out prior to your event. This ensures that the client and us work together to hammer out all of the details that you the client worked so hard to create and put into place. This also gives us time, the coordinator, to reach out to all of your vendors that you chose, and build relationships prior to your event as well as to get all of the timeline details ironed out in a timely manner.

Then from there, we conduct the rehearsal to make sure all party members know what they are doing on the wedding day. Then on the day of, we are on site for 10 hours- from set up to breakdown which is all of your personal décor for your event, and conduct your ceremony and reception, taking care to make sure all vendors are on the same page.

Breakdown consists of making sure all of your personal décor is packed up and returned, and clean up of the venue site is monitored unless otherwise specified in the venue’s contract

What is it you do exactly and how does that differ from event to event?

That is a loaded question and depends on your event and what you’re hiring us for. As a planner, I create budgets, scout vendors and venues, review contracts, do guest tracking, timeline management, design, and creation. I’m your advocate and your sounding board. There is so much more to what I do it would be best to ask what I don’t.

I don’t have florist skills but I can help you in the direction of what type of flower design would fit for your event. I also won’t get on a ladder. Liability and… afraid of heights.

As a coordinator, I make sure all of the details of your event are executed as perfectly as can be. I ensure cohesiveness from your vendors on the timeline. I bring expertise at problem-solving on the day of your event and am great at time management. I am a very skilled at set up and breakdown.

How early should I seek out or hire a wedding planner for my upcoming wedding?

For the utmost convenience and peace of mind, we recommend hiring a wedding planner like Elite Elegance as early as possible in your planning process. In other words, the earlier the better! 8-12 months out is ideal. We can do it in less but you run the risk of not being able to get the venue or vendors you desire as they typically book up about a year out.

Different seasons offer different demands for services so things can change from month to month. However, typically Summer is a very popular time and we recommend booking a wedding planner 3-6 months in advance at the very minimum, and even then you may be cutting yourself short.

If you give us the necessary time to help you to our fullest potential, we’ll be there to help you navigate the negatives and positives of the wedding industry and planning procss. From venue selection to vendor recommendations, we will guide you through every step, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. At Elite Elegance, we take what we do seriously and that’s why we never host more than three events per month at most! Additionally, it should go without saying that we never host more than one event in a weekend either.

I believe in quality events and not quantity. I like to make sure that my clients are getting the one on one services that they deserve and trying to juggle 6 or 8 events in a month isn’t fair to you or your guests.

General Event FAQs

Do you have assistants?

Yes, I have my trusted associate coordinator with over 20 years in venue and catering management and my other assistant is studying floral and is an incredibly hard worker.

What a-la carte services do you offer?

Our Pearls and Crystals package is basically anything you need created, we can do. Signage, favors, place cards, delivery, rsvp tracking. It is an extra fee, which is materials plus time. This is a completely custom service, so a consult is best to discuss your needs!

What forms of payment do you accept?

Check, Venmo, Zelle, and credit card with a % fee assessed.

Do you require meals on event days?

If we are there for more than six hours yes we will need a meal provided. It will be written within the contract based off our conversations and the amount of help we will provide for your event, how many meals will be required. Most always it’s no more than 3.

Can we hire vendors not on your preferred vendor list?

Yes you can. However, we have spent a great amount of time cultivating these relationships and know that when you hire off our preferred vendor list, they have been vetted, and we know the caliber of work they will produce.

We will not, however, work with someone who is not a professional in their field….ie, your cousin who takes great pictures with their iPhone. The vendors you choose should be licensed.

We are interested in becoming your clients, what’s next?

Well as someone who builds my clientele on feelings, I want to meet you! Email me at eliteelegancenv@gmail.com and let’s get a coffee and discuss your needs or set up a Zoom meeting! We meet, we make sure we fit each other first, personality-wise, and then I put together a proposal for you. You have 7 days from the proposal to approve. Once approved we move into the contract phase. I send you the contract and I will hold your date for 10 days from the date listed on the contract.

Once signed and the non-refundable retainer deposit is received we get to work…building your dream event!

What local areas do you service?

Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Truckee, North, South, East West Tahoe. Anywhere within an hour drive of Reno.

I also will travel further for a fee and lodging depending on where it’s at.

Is there any event you won’t do?

If it’s illegal we won’t do it. Other than that, if you have the proper permits and we aren’t getting arrested the answer to that is no.

Do you offer payment plans?

YES! If need be, we can break up the remaining balance after the initial non-refundable retainer fee is paid. It will be written within the contract. We can give you as much flexibility as you need, as long as the final payment is made 7 days prior to the event.

What about unexpected weather & fires?

Unfortunately, as we know here in the Reno Tahoe area, mother nature is not always our friend on event days, so we will get together to discuss all possible situations that could occur on your event day and put in place tentative plans to ensure that your event runs smoothly despite mother nature.

Every effort is made to make sure all avenues are covered, however, sometimes you can’t always stop rain on your wedding day, so we do our best to make it everything it is supposed to be within reason.

How do you base your costs and fees for various events?

The cost of your event is based on location, guest count, package chosen, and a ballpark of what you are looking to spend on your wedding.

The average cost of a wedding in the U.S. is around $30,000 as of 2023, so keep that in mind when accounting for the variety of associated costs and services you’ll need for your event.
