Luxe Summer Wedding in Sparks, Nevada

As our season continues to roll on, I would love to share the details of this Luxe Summer Wedding in Sparks Nevada that happened at the end of June.

Jennifer and Oliver approached Elite Elegance at the beginning of this year for a full service wedding plan. They were under a bit of a time crunch as the venue they chose Tuscan Falls at D’ Andrea had just had a last minute cancellation for the end of June this year and they were worried they wouldn’t get it all done.

Jennifer, a mom of two wasn’t completely sure of her vision but she knew she wanted the ceremony spot, to be luxe. She wanted beautiful florals, an eye catching backdrop. Oliver, hardworking dad and entrepreneur said, anything his beautiful fiancé wanted he was fine with. With that, we began to put together a plan for their wedding.

I first came up with the vision of what the event would look like. I envisioned chrome details, mirrors and lush white and green florals. Jenny had chosen olive and sage and it all tied together. Jennifer had also mentioned that she wanted to romantic elements and with that, I added lanterns and of course, candles. Pillars and tapers.

Time to design

All the chrome and lush floral gave the wedding a very rich and luxe feel. Jennifer and Oliver loved it.

The save the dates and invitation were custom creations of Elite Elegance.

The save the dates had chrome silver foil details and white floral accents, you can see it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C28x5bULciU/

The invitations were a photo collage of the couple with a velum overlay with the information on top. You can see them here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6smZ8bOkoC/

Many more handmade details from the signage, to the napkin ties.

Jennifer and Oliver trusted me in the design of their entire wedding. I felt so blessed to really have gotten to stretch my creativity and design skills on this wedding. Making this summer luxe wedding in Sparks everything they could dream was of so much importance to me.

The Planning Part

Oliver owns a food truck here in Reno, and had his staff was to cater the food. Amplified Entertainment was on tap for the entertainment. Twist florals did the personals for the day. Chava Marquez provided Photography and Videography services.

Though we only had just over 5 months to plan the entire wedding, we stuck to the monthly checklist I create for every event individually and no stone was left unplanned.

Organizing all of the elements of this wedding were really important because even as the date fast approached, the guest count grew so we had to be able to pivot and increase decor if needed, which we did. The count grew from 100 to 150 in a matter of a couple weeks. Jennifer and I had anticipated that it might happen so we prepared by over purchasing a few things, and then express ordering what we needed up until 2 weeks before the wedding!

The big day arrives

June 29th, came and my team had a quick stop for some gorgeous personals from Twist flowers

Then it was on to the venue.

We unloaded in the already 85 degree heat at 10 in the morning and got right to work.

The arch was first then the aisle.

Two free flowing columns with the beautiful waterfall in the background gave that showstopper backdrop Jennifer was looking for.

The aisles were lined with equally beautiful florals and candles and lanterns giving a luxe romantic feel.

The ceremony space was stunning with the cross back chairs. The aisle was a stunning sight to be seen.

We also decorated the sweetheart table as per plan. The wind was starting to creep up on us though, so we had to pivot design a bit. As a planner, you always have to be able to pivot.

The floral spray swag and letters were all there, just a tad different design. Yet still elegant and cohesive to the plan.

The wind decided it was going to pick up even more. We ended up securing the swags around the decor so it would act as a cocoon and keep it all standing.

The wedding and reception were a success. The wind definitely gave us a run for our money but it still turned out so beautiful. We did opt to leave the napkins and silverware off the chargers as the wind wasn’t having it.

Natural elements can throw such a wrench in things sometimes. The guests did get the napkins with the ties though, when they picked up their food at buffet.

There were some sweet first dance moments coupled with a hilarious Mandilon moment for Oliver.

I so enjoyed helping Jennifer and Oliver make their day everything it could be, the Luxe Summer wedding in Sparks of their dreams. My couples are so important to me and their happiness is at the forefront of why I do what I do. To so many more years of Love and happiness!
