Greek Winter Wolfpack style Wedding

Our first wedding of the year was in January and it was a beautiful Greek winter wedding with a wolfpack style! Combining a beautiful cobalt blue and metal accents this wedding screamed UNR. There were also small touches of the Nevada Tartan to honor the groom’s heritage.

When Sarah & Petar reached out in August of last year, they were in need of a full wedding plan, and they needed feet on the ground here in Reno, as both of them were out of state. To be frank, Sarah and Petar had no idea what they wanted for their event! When we zoom chatted for the first time, I had a picture of the Star of David on a chuppah as my backdrop (see https://eliteelegancenv.com/gallery in the Romantic November wedding in Reno tab) and Sarah said she really liked that blue. Ok! Step 1, a color was chosen. Both Sarah & Petar were engineers and when I showed them different types of accents, metal accents were what caught their eye. Petar had also mentioned his heritage and brought up the Nevada tartan that he really liked. Thus, a color palette was born!

I sent them the vision board and they loved it! Blue and white with silver or metallic accent elements with pops of the Nevada Tartan. It wasn’t intentional but being that Petar is a Reno native, we joked that the colors were repping the Wolfpack!

Throughout the planning process, we had virtual meet ups to confirm things, but for the most part they were pretty hands off. They utilized me and the my talents to the fullest extent, having me create all the signage. Classic clean simple signage lended itself to the simple elegance of their wedding.

Wedding day!

The ceremony was a traditional one performed by the Greek Orthodox Church. A special touch was the groom’s father is a Deacon at the church and he was part of the performance of the ceremony. It was a sentimental and secular ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they showcased their love.

The reception was kicked off by a fun entrance of Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. It sure got everyone hyped up for the event. Meaningful and entertaining toasts, sweet dances, a shot toast with shot glasses that honored the bride’s late father. Then party time! Everyone filled the dance floor the whole night.

They were honestly one of the calmest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We had a great team.
